about

Seva

Volunteering for Seva

“Doing Seva, service is a blessing in one’s life for discovering the joy of giving to others one’s knowledge, skills, time, etc, without any expectation. Purna Vidya provides us a sacred space for learning and sharing the age-old wisdom of the Ṛiṣis with our human family. Join us and discover your inner spiritual potential of being a contributor to the world and not a consumer! “

– Ammaji

How to become a Purna Vidya Sevak?

Seva can be offered from any part of the world, either in person or virtually. Sevaks support the functioning and outreach of Purna Vidya through their time, skills and dedicated service.

Ways to Purna Vidya Seva

Seva is the practice of selfless service – offering one’s time, skills and knowledge in support of a larger vision. At Purna Vidya, Seva supports the smooth functioning of the organisation and the sharing of traditional wisdom.

Seva may be offered in person or remotely, depending on the nature of the work and your availability.

Areas where Sevaks may support include:

  • Supporting centre operations such as event management, HR and PR, charity initiatives, administration and accounts
  • Assisting in the propagation of Purna Vidya offerings across Vedanta, Samskṛtam, Heritage and Yoga, including facilitating study groups
  • Supporting publications through transcription, editing, proofreading and script work (Devanagari and Roman)
  • Creative design work such as standees, flyers, brochures, presentations, and audio/video snippets
  • Marketing and digital support including campaign management, website and app support, IT infrastructure and social media management
  • Outreach support through satellite centre coordination and community development initiatives

These roles are typically skill-based and offered in a spirit of service rather than employment.
