Sri Vanalingesvara Temple

A horizontal line separator graphic in dark color

It all began on the Bhumi Pūjā day in July 2013 where during the Gopuja the sacred cow spontaneously gave copious milk. It was as if the land was telling us that it is blessed by the presence of Lord Shiva. This was confirmed during a prasnam which said that on this land was a Lord Siva temple hundreds of years ago, and installation of Lord Siva's shrine was integral for seekers here to receive blessings in their spiritual life. Lord Vanalingesvara Temple was consecrated in January 2016. A year later, in January 2017, during installation of Nandi Deva and completion of the temple mandapam, a sacred snake pit (Naga Putru) was discovered and continues to be retained in its natural state. Snakes are deeply connected with Lord Siva and hence the incident also carries a spiritual significance.

Seekers who come to the ashram for spiritual programs find themselves in a deep space of silent inner transformation. Drawn into the Temple by divine energies, seekers easily enter into contemplative practices which facilitates their spiritual growth in the Coimbatore Center.

Ganga Dhyana Mandir

A horizontal line separator graphic in dark color

In 2012, after completion of the construction of Tapasyalayam, the Retreat Center at Uttarkashi, Lord Vasuki Devata, the deity of the Netala village was invited to bless the ashram. The Devata revealed the presence of a Goddess in the ashram, who asked for a temple in the ashram as Her abode. The temple construction work began in March 2013 only to be halted in June 2013 due to the Kedarnath natural disaster. While Goddess Ganga in her fury carried away with her houses, villages, trees rocks and boulders through torrential rains and landslides, the ashram miraculously remained untouched and protected. In October of the same year, Lord Vasuki Naga Devata declared "Your ashram was protected in the disaster by the Goddess Herself. Complete Her temple at the earliest". May 2014, saw the birth of the Ganga Dhyana Mandir, in which Goddess Ganga descended into the ashram's cave temple, and She continues to abide there and bless all those who come to Her.

While Ganga and Himalayas are the epitome of a spiritual abode on earth, devotees visiting Tapasyalayam find a deep spiritual connection with the sacred land. Those in sadhana and meditation at the ashram have said "Simply being here with Ma Ganga has given me the inner peace I have been searching for." and "Tapasyalayam's warm embrace and spirituality have deeply nurtured my soul and brought me home to Ma Ganga".

Sri Venugopalaswamy Ashram, Palakkad

A horizontal line separator graphic in dark color

Sri Venugopalaswamy Ashram was constructed in 2011, following the discovery by Swamini Pramananda in 1996, that the Village known as Coolimuttam Agraham was her ancestral home.

The story of Sri Venugopalaswamy Temple, situated near the ashram, is remarkable in that before Ammaji's arrival, both the village and the temple had fallen on hard times. Previously the location of a vibrant community with many beautiful homes, the departure of dozens of families in search of greener pastures left the community in a weakened state. The saving grace was the handful of families who stayed in the village, devotedly supported Sri Venugopalaswamy, and took great care of the temple. In spite of their economic struggles, the villagers came together to perform a Kumbhabhishekam in 1959, the year of Ammaji's birth.

In 1993, the Sri Venugopalaswamy Temple Nitya Pūjā Committee was formed to sustain the temple, with prayers that good times would soon return. The turning point for the village came in 1996. A devaprasnam had revealed the coming of unknown noble souls within the year, after which the village would become a prosperous, peaceful and harmonious place once again. In October 1996, Swami Siddhabodhananda and Ammaji came to the village in search of her ancestral home.

As if divinity had guided her to the temple, Ammaji had been given a gift of Sri Venugopalaswamy's idol prior to her visit, confirming the thought that her ancestors had, indeed, belonged to the agraharam. With the blessing of her guru, Swami Dayananda Saraswati, and the support of Sri. Balaraman and the other villagers, Ammaji took on the monumental task of renovation and consecration of the temple. After the success of a 1998 Kumbhabhisekham, the villagers knew that their prayers had been answered and life in their village had, indeed, become more prosperous, peaceful and harmonious.

  • The temple conducts Nitya Pūjās and special pūjās such as Gopuja, Homam, Bhagavatiseva and Satyanarayana Pūjā upon request.
  • The Ashram serves as the Annakshetra and residence for the devotees of Lord Venugopalaswamy during the temple festivals.
  • Religious and social functions such as Upanayana, Aksharabhyasa and Namasankirtan are performed routinely at the Ashram.
