Mahāśivarātri is one of the most sacred nights dedicated to Lord Shiva, observed with deep devotion, prayer, and self-reflection. On this auspicious occasion, Purna Vidya Foundation invites devotees to participate in the Mahāśivarātri Celebrations at the Lord Vanalingesvara Temple, Coimbatore.
The program is designed as a collective spiritual offering, including Mahāsankalpa, Rudra Abhishekam, Archana, Anugraha Bhāṣaṇam, Mahā Ārati, and Mahā Prasādam, allowing devotees to immerse themselves in prayer and sacred observances.
Devotees may participate in person or online, and are warmly invited to support the celebrations through Puja Offerings and Annadanam Contributions.

A Hymn on Lord Surya Deva
Ādityahṛdayam is a Hindu devotional hymn, dedicated to Āditya or Sūrya, found in the Yuddha Kānda of Vālmīki’s Rāmāyana. It was recited by the sage Agastya to Rāma in the battlefield before fighting with the Rakshasa king Rāvaṇa.
The Aditya Hrudayam is a sacred Samskrtam hymn from the Ramayana that praises the sun god, Surya. Composed by the sage Agastya, it is recited to grant victory and overcome obstacles, and was told to Lord Rama before his battle with Ravana. The text describes Surya as the dispeller of darkness, the source of life and light, and the lord of the universe, and reciting it is believed to bring good health, peace, prosperity, and courage.

Tattvabodha is an introductory text on Vedanta philosophy, written by Adi Shankara, that means “Knowledge of the Truth”. It systematically explains the fundamental principles of Vedanta, the nature of reality, the self, and the path to liberation (moksha). The text is presented as a dialogue between a teacher and a student, defining key terms and concepts like the three states of consciousness, the different bodies, and the necessary qualities for a student to seek knowledge.
