This program is specifically designed for individuals who are deeply committed to advancing their understanding of Vedanta and wish to internalize and actualize this profound wisdom in their lives. The course offers a unique chance to study under the guidance of Swamini Pramananda (Ammaji) who is a direct disciple of Pujya Swami Dayanada Sarasawati ji. Ammaji is a highly experienced teacher and has over 40 years  of experience in imparting the timeless knowledge of Vedanta and mentoring seekers on their spiritual journeys.

Who are the Teachers?




Swami Siddhabodhananda – Spiritual guide and Sanskrit teacher

Swami Siddhabodhananda has a rich 40 years history as a teacher of Vedānta and Sanskrit. As a student of Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati, Swamiji began teaching Sanskrit while studying Vedānta in Northern California during a three-years Gurukulam-style course conducted by Pujya Swamiji from 1979 to 1982. Swamiji attended this course and soon after began to teach at Pujya Swamiji’s gurukulams as well as serving him in administrative capacities.

Swamini Pramananda (affectionately known as Ammaji) is the Spiritual Leader and Visionary behind the organization, Purna Vidya, based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. For the past 40 years, she has been sharing the vision of Oneness and Harmony with seekers around the world.

Swamini Pramananda is a Vedānta teacher as well as Sanskrit scholar. Her scholarship is grounded in these timeless teachings as well as her direct experience of the truth they reveal. As a result, she has become one of the clearest and most eloquent teachers of the Vedic vision of Oneness and Happiness. She taught residential courses in Vedānta and Sanskrit in her guru, Pujya Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswati’s gurukulams for over a decade.






Arulji – Vedic chanting and slokas, Training to perform puja ritual

Sri Arulji, a resident Acharya of Purna Vidya is known for imparting the spiritual wisdom in the regional language, Tamil . His expertise in Tamil scriptures like Thirumandiram, Thiruvasagam, Thevaram and Thirumuraigal draws students to delve deeper and understand their timeless relevance. Arulji conducts residential programs like Vedanta retreats and short-term courses. He also trains teachers and parents on culture-based value education, as part of Purna Vidya's signature program - Vedic Heritage Teaching Program. Additionally, he guides the student community through the many and varied outreach programs of Purna Vidya.

Vedanta:

1.     Tattvabodha

2.     Bhagavad Gita

3.     Katho Upanishad

4.     Sandhana Panchakam

5.     Pratah Smaranam

6.     Vijnana Nouka

7.     Nirvana Shatkam

8.     Hamsa Gita

9.     Prarthana Shatpati

10.  Sankshepa Ramayana

11.  Hanuman Chalisa (Meaning and Chanting)

12.  Aditya Hridayam

13.  Govindashtakam

14.  8 Hymns (Stothrams) to Lord Shiva (Dakshinamurthy, Lingashtakam, etc.)

Sanskrit:

            By the end of the 11-month course, students will have knowledge on the following aspects.

1.     Nouns (3 genders and both Vowel-ending and Consonant-ending)

2.     Verbs (4 conjugations – 1, 4, 6 and 10 classes)

3.     Tens and Moods

4.     Adjectives, Pronouns, Adverbs and Participles

5.     Active and Passive voices

6.     Phonetic Combinations (Sandhis)

The Reference book for Sanskrit will be Sanskrit book1 (Part 1) by R.Antoine

Yoga:

            Apart from Asana practice, Ashtanga Yoga Sutras will be covered

Chanting:

            Bhagavad Gita and Specific Shlokas and Mantras

Meditation:

            Guided meditation by Ammaji offers a personalized, structured approach tailored to each seeker's unique stage in their spiritual journey.

Puja Vidhi:

            Spiritual seekers will be taught to perform Pujas. Pujas are one of the most beautiful ways to invoke the devotee in oneself and establish the connection with the Ishvara. In Purna Vidya, lot of emphasis is provided to Pujas as one of the practical ways to actualise and internalise the teachings

In addition to the above, Seekers will be taken for Spiritual/Religious treks/Trips/Walks, etc. every now and then

Daily Schedule during the course:

6.30 – 8.00am            : Guided Meditation and Vedanta (1st Class)

8.00 – 9.00am            : Breakfast

9.00 – 10.00am           : Samskrtam

10.15 – 11.00am         : Chanting and Puja

11.00 – 11.30am         : Tea

11.30 – 12.30pm         : Vedanta (2nd Class)

12.30 – 2.00pm           : Contemplation and Lunch

2.00 – 3.30pm            : Seva

3.30 – 4.00pm            : Tea

4.00 – 5.15pm            : Yoga/Walks/Personal Time

5.30 – 6.15pm            : Temple Prayers

6.15 – 7.30pm            : Satsang

7.30 – 10.00pm           : Dinner and Personal Time
